Ondo govt lifts curfew in Owo as security situation improves

By Our Reporter

The Ondo State Government has lifted the curfew imposed on Owo, allowing residents to resume their normal activities without restriction.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa approved the decision following a significant improvement in security and the peaceful conduct of the community.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Friday.

The curfew was initially enforced in response to security concerns in the Owo Local Government Area.

However, with calm now restored, movement and daily civic activities can proceed unhindered.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his appreciation to security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and other stakeholders who played a crucial role in restoring peace and stability to the area.

Their efforts, he noted, were instrumental in ensuring that Owo returned to normalcy.
