Ondo East: Peaceful voting in Ward 1

At Ondo East Ward 1, unit 16, the atmosphere was marked by orderliness and enthusiasm as voters came out in large numbers to exercise their civic rights.

The Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Wale Akinlosotu, who participated in the election process, expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the exercise.

Speaking to journalists, Akinlosotu highlighted the impressive turnout of voters, who appeared eager to vote for their preferred candidates.

“The election has been going on smoothly, and voters are happily voting for the candidate of their choice. The turnout has been impressive, and I can confidently say there’s been no inducement or coercion,” he said.

Akinlosotu also noted the absence of violence or disturbances at the polling unit, further commending the electorate for maintaining peace and order.

As the voting process neared its conclusion, he expressed anticipation for the next stage: the counting and announcement of resresult.

He noted that: “The peaceful and organised voting process at ward 1, unit 16, stood as a testament to the growing political maturity and commitment to democracy among the people of Ondo East.”
