The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two suspects for dealing, selling, and distributing hard drugs in Akure.
According to a press release issued by the NSCDC Ondo State Command on Tuesday, and signed by the Public Relations Officer, DSC Daniel Aidamenbor, the suspects, Chukwudi Victor Amoke and Timilehin Abed, were apprehended on July 3, 2024, at Benue Hotel area, Shasha Market, Oba Ile, Akure North.

The suspects, who were said to have confessed to the crime, were found with exhibits including cannabis, tramadol, loud, and ice.
The NSCDC stated that the suspects will be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for prosecution.

The PRO said the arrest is part of the corps’ efforts to combat drug trafficking and related criminal activities in the state.
