President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appealed for peace and civility in tomorrow’s Edo State governorship elections.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Friday, President Tinubu urged governorship candidates, political parties, and supporters to respect the democratic process and the people’s will, emphasizing that democracy thrives on civility, tolerance, and respect for the rules.
He commended the candidates’ focus on key issues affecting Edo State, including economic growth and national development.
President Tinubu also expressed confidence in the professionalism of security agencies and INEC officials, urging them to remain impartial.
He encouraged citizens to resolve disagreements amicably and remain peaceful throughout the voting process.
