…‘OUR EASE’ One-Year Anniversary
Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has constituted a 16-member planning committee to organise activities marking the 50th anniversary of the creation of the state and the first anniversary of his administration.
Both celebrations are scheduled to hold in February 2026.
The committee is to be chaired by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti, while the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Matters, Pastor Adeyemi Adeyemo, will serve as Secretary.
Other members of the committee include Hon. Omowunmi Isaac; the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr Kayode Ajulo, SAN, OON; Prince Segun Omojuwa; the Head of Service, Mr Bayo Philip; Mr Idowu Ajanaku; the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan; Mr Kenneth Stevenson-Odusola; Mr Muyiwa Ogunyemi; Mr Summy Smart Francis; Engr. Razak Obe; Engr. Femi Akarakiri; Hon. Omowunmi Ohwovoriole; Hon. Afolabi Adesoji; and Chief Gbenga Atiba.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the committee is expected to set up sub-committees to handle various aspects of the planning and execution of the anniversary programmes.
Governor Aiyedatiwa charged members of the committee to put in their best efforts to ensure the organisation of befitting events that would reflect the history, progress and aspirations of Ondo State, as well as showcase the achievements of his administration under the ‘OUR EASE’ agenda.
The dual celebration will commemorate Ondo State’s journey since its creation in 1976, while also marking one year of the Aiyedatiwa administration in office.
