Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has sent congratulatory message to Dr. Olusegun Mimiko on his 70th birthday celebration.
Dr. Mimiko, who served as Governor of Ondo State from 2009 to 2017, is hailed for his exceptional leadership and contributions to the state’s development, particularly in the health sector.
Governor Aiyedatiwa’s goodwill message reads: “On behalf of the good people and government of Ondo State, I congratulate former Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Olusegun Abayomi Mimiko, on the auspicious occasion of his 70th birthday. Dr. Mimiko is a remarkable individual whose leadership and legacy continue to make a difference. I celebrate him as a living inspiration.
“As the longest-serving governor of Ondo State, Dr. Mimiko’s achievements have left a lasting impact. His commitment to healthcare, education, and infrastructure has transformed countless lives. Notable initiatives include the Abiye program, which has set a remarkable standard for healthcare reform across Nigeria.”
He noted that: “Dr. Mimiko’s political career began as a member of the Students’ Representatives Council at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University). He later served as Commissioner for Health and Social Services in Ondo State from 1992 to 1993 and Secretary to the Ondo State Government from 2003 to July 2005.
“As Dr. Mimiko celebrates his 70th birthday, his legacy inspires us to strive for a brighter future filled with hope and possibility.”
Governor Aiyedatiwa prays for Dr. Mimiko’s continued good health, acknowledging his enduring impact on Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.
