The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of Nollywood actress and film producer, Allwell Ademola.
Ademola reportedly passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the age of 43.
According to sources familiar with the incident, she was rushed to Ancilla Hospital in Agege, Lagos, by a neighbour after she was found unwell at her residence, where she was later confirmed dead.
Although the cause of death has not been officially disclosed, unconfirmed reports suggest that the actress may have suffered a heart attack.
As of the time of filing this report, the news of her demise was still spreading quietly among her friends and colleagues within the Nigerian film industry.
Allwell Ademola was a respected figure in Nollywood, known not only for her on-screen roles but also for her work behind the scenes as a film producer.
Over the years, she produced several films and played a significant role in supporting and shaping the careers of a number of actors, including popular actor Rotimi Salami.
Beyond her contributions to the entertainment industry, Ademola came from a notable lineage.
She was a granddaughter of the late Sir Adetokunbo Ademola, the highly revered Nigerian jurist and former Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Her sudden death has sparked an outpouring of concern and grief across the Nollywood community, with colleagues and admirers expressing shock at the loss of a creative talent taken in her prime.
