Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has received a major boost ahead of the November 16 governorship election as the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) and the Association of Nigerian Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) have endorsed his candidacy.

Hundreds of teachers gathered in Akure to show their support for Governor Aiyedatiwa on Monday, citing his swift response to their needs since assuming office ten months ago.

Comrade Tajudeen Balogun, Chairman of the Adhoc Committee on Public Affairs and Social Mobilization, expressed gratitude to the governor for addressing challenges faced by teachers in Ondo State.

Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the associations for their support and assured teachers that their welfare remains a priority.

He said: “I know your needs, and we will address them.”

This endorsement is significant, as ANCOPSS has previously advocated for teachers’ welfare and education development.
