Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has called on voters in Ondo State to reject the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) by supporting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Chief Alfred Agboola Ajayi, in the forthcoming governorship election.

In his bi-monthly newsletter obtained by The Nigerian Monitor, Governor Makinde emphasised the need for Nigerians to take a stand against the economic hardship they face under the APC-led government, beginning with Saturday’s election in Ondo State.

Makinde described the election as a crucial opportunity for the people of Ondo to lead the charge for change.

He said: “Ondo is a litmus test for Nigerians to show that their hunger and anger can produce real change.”

The governor urged voters to send a strong message to the ruling party by electing the PDP candidate.

He further appealed to the electorate to seize the moment and rally behind the PDP, which he described as the party capable of rescuing Nigeria from its economic challenges.

“Let all lovers of good governance come out and say enough of the APC and its lack of people-centred policies,” the governor pleaded.

Makinde concluded by encouraging mass participation in the election, calling on voters to make their voices heard and take a decisive step toward better governance.
