The Aremolekun Band, under the leadership of its founder, Very Rev’d David Akinadewo-Adekahunsi, fondly known as Aremolekun, marked its annual end-of-year party in a grand and spiritually uplifting manner on Sunday.

The celebration, which brought together band members and admirers of the renowned spiritual music group, took place at the founder’s residence in Ijapo Extension, Akure.

The event commenced promptly at 4 p.m. with heartfelt prayers of thanksgiving led by Aremolekun, who expressed profound gratitude for the divine protection and blessings enjoyed by the band and its supporters throughout 2024.

Speaking to attendees, Akinadewo-Adekahunsi emphasised that the annual gathering serves as a reminder of God’s unwavering faithfulness to the band and its loved ones.

In a poignant moment, the revered bandleader recounted the miraculous recovery of a band member who survived a life-threatening motorcycle accident last year, offering thanks to God for sparing his life.

He also shared his personal testimony of overcoming a health challenge during the past year, attributing his recovery to God’s grace.

The celebration was marked by a series of joyful activities, including soul-stirring songs of praise, fervent prayers for a prosperous 2025, exuberant dancing, and vibrant entertainment.

Band members took the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to spreading the gospel and contributing more to the spiritual music ministry in the year ahead.
