President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to renowned industrialist and philanthropist Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya as he marks his 85th birthday on 12 January 2025.
In a statement issued by the State House, President Tinubu commended the Chairman of the Eleganza Group for his enduring legacy of entrepreneurship, hard work, and contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth.
Describing Chief Okoya as an emblem of the Nigerian entrepreneurial spirit, President Tinubu lauded his achievements over more than six decades.
“Your endeavours and accomplishments have not only inspired countless businesses to thrive but have also played a significant role in bolstering the Nigerian economy. The companies and industries you have established have created jobs for thousands of Nigerians,” the President said.
President Tinubu further praised Chief Okoya’s lifelong dedication to civic engagement, particularly in the areas of education and spirituality.
