Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has praised Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), for its significant contributions to Nigeria’s human capital development.
Speaking at the university’s 12th convocation ceremony and 15th Founder’s Day Event in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, Governor Aiyedatiwa acknowledged ABUAD’s quality education, evident in its graduates’ success across various sectors.
He commended the institution’s founder, Aare Afe Babalola, for his commitment to the education sector, which he said has positively impacted the nation.
The governor also congratulated Prince Lateef Fagbemi, Pastor Tunde Bakare, and Damian D. Dodo on their honorary awards, recognising their contributions to humanity and the law profession.
Governor Aiyedatiwa encouraged the graduates to make a difference in society, while reiterating his administration’s commitment to revamping Ondo State’s education sector.
He highlighted initiatives such as increased funding for tertiary institutions, school building rehabilitation, and teacher recruitment for primary and secondary schools.
