First Lady Oluremi Tinubu pays condolence visit to Hajia Turai Yar’Adua

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, paid a condolence visit to Hajia Turai Yar’Adua, wife of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, over the passing of her mother-in-law, Late Hajia Dada Yar’Adua.

 

The visit, which took place at the Yar’Adua residence in Abuja, was accompanied by the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, and other dignitaries. Senator Tinubu praised the late matriarch for living a fulfilled life, evident in the quality of her children and legacy.

 

“A truly successful and fulfilled woman is not in the position she holds or wealth but how well she managed the family, trained the children, and left a legacy for generations yet unborn. All of these, Dada was able to accomplish,” she said.

 

Senator Tinubu urged Hajia Turai to be strong and carry on the family’s legacies, thanking her for her support and motherly advice despite their different political affiliations.

 

Hajia Turai Yar’Adua described her late mother-in-law as a friend and sister who encouraged her in trying times, thanking the First Lady and her entourage for their visit.

 

The Wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed, the family left behind, and the nation.

 

Late Hajia Dada Yar’Adua passed away on September 2nd at the age of 102, leaving behind a legacy as the mother of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Late General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, and Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua.
