In a bid to enhance the quality of education and alleviate the transportation burden on parents, the Ondo State Government has added five more buses to its free school shuttle fleet.
The new buses were handed over to benefiting communities at the Ministry of Transport in Akure, the state capital.
Speaking at the event, the Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Transport, Hon. Olugbenga Omole, expressed gratitude to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the additional brand new luxury buses, which demonstrate the government’s commitment to improving the lives of parents and the people of the state.
He emphasized that this initiative is an investment in the future of Ondo State.
Also in his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Mr. Olufemi Aladenola, appreciated the Governor for the additional free school shuttle buses, which will provide safe and conducive transportation for school children.

Principals and representatives of Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) also commended the government for the initiative, stating that it will promote punctuality, enhance students’ learning assimilation, and relieve parents of daily transportation costs.
The event also featured the inaugural parade of the Ministry of Transport uniformed officers, including a march past parade by uniformed officers.
Students, teachers, and parents expressed their gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the additional free school shuttle buses.
Dignitaries present at the event included principals of various schools, PTA representatives, and students from across the state.
This expansion of the free shuttle service demonstrates the Ondo State Government’s dedication to supporting the education and well-being of its citizens.
