Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has nominated four additional individuals for appointment as commissioners in the State Executive Council, bringing the total number of nominees to 16.

This was contained in a letter sent to the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, on Saturday.

The letter, titled: “Request for Confirmation of Additional Commissioner Nominees,” was in line with Section 192 (1&2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).

The new nominees are Pastor Bola Ademuwagun, Engr. Leye Akinola, Dr. Banji Awolowo Ajaka, and Hon. Adesoji Afolabi.

The latest submission comes shortly after the Governor named 12 commissioner nominees last week, who are currently undergoing screening by the House of Assembly.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, in his letter, urged the Assembly to expedite action on the confirmation process in the overall interest of the state.
