The Governor of Ondo State, Honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing the State’s infrastructural development while prioritising the well-being of its citizens.
In his New Year message, the Governor assured residents that 2025 would usher in significant dividends of good governance, restoring their confidence in the government.
Congratulating the people of Ondo State on witnessing the end of 2024, Governor Aiyedatiwa described the new year as an opportunity to open fresh chapters of development across all 18 local government areas.
He expressed gratitude to key stakeholders, including traditional rulers, religious leaders, labour leaders, security agencies, and the media, for their unwavering support.
He also commended the State’s workforce for their dedication and sacrifices throughout the past year.
The Governor emphasised that the ‘Budget of Recovery’ for 2025 would be implemented with diligence to accelerate development and ensure the completion of ongoing projects.
Reflecting on the progress made in 2024, he highlighted achievements in infrastructure, workers’ welfare, job creation, and enhanced security, vowing to build on these successes in the year ahead.
Acknowledging the peaceful conduct of stakeholders during the past year’s electioneering processes, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his appreciation for the overwhelming mandate given to him to lead the State beyond 2025.
He urged residents to continue supporting his administration as it strives to deliver on the components of the ‘OUR EASE’ mandate, which is designed to foster sustainable development.
In his heartfelt message, the Governor called on the people to intensify prayers for the peace and prosperity of Ondo State, affirming his unwavering commitment to their welfare.
“As we celebrate the opportunities before us in the New Year,” he said, “I wish to also use this occasion to affirm my commitment to the people of Ondo State. It is my prayer that the first dawn of the New Year will bring unsparing blessings for us as individuals, communities, and as a State.”
Governor Aiyedatiwa concluded by wishing all residents a peaceful and prosperous New Year, expressing optimism for the journey ahead.
