Saudi Summit: President Tinubu calls for end to Israeli aggression in Gaza

President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has called for an immediate end to Israeli aggression in Gaza, emphasising that the conflict has caused immense suffering for far too long.

Speaking at the extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Monday, President Tinubu reiterated Nigeria’s support for a two-state solution, allowing Israelis and Palestinians to coexist in security and dignity.

He stressed that empty condemnations are insufficient and urged collective action to end the conflict.

President Tinubu also emphasized the importance of respecting civilians’ basic rights and proportionality in self-defense, consistent with global legal and diplomatic frameworks.

The Nigerian leader praised King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for convening the summit, describing it as a vital opportunity for diplomatic efforts toward sustainable peace.

President Tinubu assured that Nigeria, drawing from its own experiences, will continue supporting international efforts promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.
