From John Dike, Osogbo
The Osun State Police Command has issued a warning to the public, particularly young girls, about the dangers of internet fraudsters known as Yahoo Boys.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola, the warning is necessary due to the escalating techniques and dimensions of the Yahoo Boys’ activities in society.
Opalola stated that the fraudsters have expanded their criminal activities to include ritualistic practices, plotting to lure and murder unsuspecting victims, mostly women, to harvest their body parts for ritual purposes.
The Police Command is urging young girls to be cautious and avoid engaging with these fraudsters, who often use deceptive tactics to achieve their sinister goals.
The warning comes as a response to the growing concern about the Yahoo Boys’ activities in Osun State, which have become increasingly violent and ritualistic in nature.
The Police Command is working to combat these activities and ensure the safety of citizens, particularly young women, who are often targeted by these fraudsters.
