The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, has lauded the reappointment of Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan as the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, describing it as a welcome development.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite, and State Secretary, Comrade Olaoluwa Meshack, the union commended the governor for retaining Adeniyan in the role, citing his impressive performance and dedication to the media profession.
According to the NUJ, Adeniyan, who previously served as the Ondo State Secretary and a National Officer of the union, has demonstrated remarkable competence in handling the responsibilities of the CPS office.
He is also the publisher of Trace News Magazine, a widely respected publication.
The statement read: “Our union receives the news with satisfaction, considering the incredible performance of Prince Adeniyan since his appointment as the Governor’s CPS over a year ago.
“The reappointment of Prince Adeniyan has justified our belief that he is one of the best to have served in that capacity. His public relations for his principal is second to none and exceptional.
“We have no doubt that Prince Adeniyan will continue to coordinate and drive the information machinery of Mr Governor in the right direction. It is on record that the CPS has used his office to assist our union, our members, and the generality of the Ondo State people.”
The NUJ further expressed gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for reposing confidence in Adeniyan, noting that the decision would strengthen the relationship between the administration and the media industry in the state.
The union also congratulated Adeniyan on the reappointment, urging him to continue his good work while praying for divine guidance in his state duties.
