Ondo NUJ congratulates Adeniyan on elevation as Gov Aiyedatiwa’s Special Adviser

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, has congratulated Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan on his elevation to the Ondo State Cabinet as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The Union described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of a performing media professional whose dedication, commitment and contributions to effective communication of government policies, programmes and activities have distinguished him.

A statement jointly signed by the Ondo NUJ Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite, and the State Secretary, Comrade Olaoluwa Meshack, on Thursday, said the elevation reflected Adeniyan’s professionalism, competence and outstanding performance in his previous capacity as the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary.

The Council also commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for the confidence reposed in Adeniyan, expressing optimism that his new responsibility would strengthen the information machinery of the state government and improve communication between the administration and the people.

According to the Union, Adeniyan’s retention as Chief Press Secretary, alongside his new appointment as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, underscores the Governor’s confidence in his capacity to deliver on the administration’s media and publicity objectives.

The NUJ expressed confidence that the development would promote professionalism, transparency, timely dissemination of information and a stronger relationship between the government and the media.

It urged Adeniyan to regard the elevation as a call to greater service and responsibility, while assuring him of the Union’s continued support and cooperation in advancing responsible journalism and effective public communication.

The Council wished him success in his new assignment, noting that his wealth of experience would contribute meaningfully to the development of Ondo State.

Adeniyan is a former Secretary of the Ondo State Council of the NUJ and also served as a national officer of the Union.
