In a statement made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday, Arise described the governor’s re-election as a clear endorsement of his administration’s performance and commitment to the development of Ekiti State.

The former lawmaker said the overwhelming support demonstrated by voters across the state reflected public confidence in Oyebanji’s leadership and his vision for the continued growth and transformation of the state.

Arise also congratulated the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Monisola Afuye, on her re-election alongside the governor, noting that the renewed mandate would provide the administration with the opportunity to consolidate on its achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.

He commended Ekiti voters for turning out in large numbers to participate in the electoral process and for voting overwhelmingly in favour of the APC ticket.

According to him, the outcome of the election has reaffirmed the people’s trust in the policies and programmes of the Oyebanji administration.

“The victory recorded by Governor Biodun Oyebanji is a testament to his commitment to the development of Ekiti State and the confidence the people have in his leadership. The people have spoken through the ballot box and given him a renewed mandate to continue the good work he has started,” Arise said.

The APC stalwart expressed optimism that the governor’s second term would usher in another phase of accelerated development across critical sectors of the state’s economy.

He specifically identified road infrastructure, education, healthcare delivery, agriculture, youth empowerment, and civil service reforms as areas where further progress is expected under the administration.

According to him, continuity in governance would enable the government to complete ongoing projects, deepen reforms and implement long-term development strategies that would positively impact the lives of residents.

“With this renewed mandate, Ekiti people should expect greater transformation in infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, the civil service and other key sectors. Continuity will ensure that ongoing programmes are sustained and expanded for the benefit of the people,” he stated.

While celebrating the electoral victory, Arise emphasized the need for unity within the APC as preparations gradually begin for the 2027 general elections.

He stressed that the party must remain committed to the principles of justice, fairness and inclusiveness in order to sustain its dominance in the state’s political landscape.

The former senator, who is widely regarded as one of the aspirants eyeing the Ekiti North Senatorial District seat in the 2027 elections, urged party leaders and members to work together in strengthening the APC and promoting internal cohesion.

He noted that unity among stakeholders would be crucial to the party’s success in future electoral contests.

“As we celebrate this victory, it is important for all stakeholders within our party to embrace unity, justice and fairness. These values are essential if the APC is to remain strong and successful ahead of the 2027 general elections,” he added.

Arise also appealed to all political actors in the state to put the election behind them and support the governor in his efforts to advance the development of Ekiti State.

He expressed confidence that the administration would continue to deliver impactful projects and programmes that would improve the welfare of the people and strengthen the state’s position as one of Nigeria’s leading states in governance and development.
