The Ondo State Government has announced the dissolution of the boards of several parastatals and commissions, alongside the expiration of tenure of Education Secretaries across the state’s 18 local government areas.
The directive, which takes immediate effect, was approved by the Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
A statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, listed the affected bodies to include the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the Local Government Service Commission, the Muslim Welfare Board, and the Christian Welfare Board.
Also affected are the Education Secretaries serving in all 18 local government areas of the state, whose tenures have officially expired.
According to the statement, all chairmen, commissioners, board members, and Education Secretaries are to hand over the affairs of their respective offices to the most senior administrative officers with immediate effect.
The government expressed appreciation to the affected officials for their contributions to the development of the state during their time in office.
Governor Aiyedatiwa commended their service and dedication, noting that their efforts had supported governance and institutional development across various sectors in Ondo State.
