A few minutes after he was suspended for three months by the Senate over his claim that the National Assembly padded the 2024 Budget with about N3 trillion, Senator Abdul Ningi (PDP – Bauchi Central), on Tuesday, resigned as the Chairman of Northern Senators Forum.

After his suspension, he packed his books and papers and was helped by one of the National Assembly officials.

Immediately he got to his office, he resigned as the Chairman of Northern Senators Forum.
