Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji,  has dissolved the State Executive Council ahead of his inauguration for a second term in office scheduled for October 16.

The dissolution was announced on Monday at the end of a valedictory meeting of the State Executive Council in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

However, the governor exempted three key officials from the dissolution: his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode; Chief of Staff, Oyeniyi Adebayo; and Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro.

Oyebanji expressed appreciation to the outgoing members of the council for their support, dedication and commitment to the service of the state during the last four years.

He said their contributions had been critical to the achievements recorded by his administration, particularly in the implementation of government policies and programmes.
