Aquagrico Farms begins recruitment of 200 growers, junior agronomists

First Aquagrico Farms, a leading family-owned agro-tech company headquartered in the Ondo highlands, has announced the recruitment of 200 full-time Growers and Junior Agronomists as part of its ongoing expansion.

Though formally incorporated in 2016, the company’s agricultural roots stretch back to the early 1920s, blending traditional African farming heritage with modern technology to produce safe, high-quality crops all year round.

The new hiring phase reflects Aquagrico’s commitment to job creation and community development.

The recruitment marks the first stage of a broader expansion plan that will see the company scale its current 2-hectare hydroponic greenhouse into a fully automated 10-hectare facility powered by advanced Dutch technology.

An additional 300 positions are expected to open soon.

Positions Available

1. Grower
This entry-level role offers hands-on training in greenhouse operations. Successful applicants will learn modern hydroponic techniques and participate in daily crop routines such as planting, pruning, pollination, and harvesting.
Requirements include a diploma or degree in Agriculture or related fields, physical fitness, teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn.

2. Junior Agronomist
This position supports the Lead Agronomist in crop nutrition, irrigation planning, pest management, and data analysis, with a primary focus on tomatoes and bell peppers.
Applicants should have a degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related disciplines. Experience in farm or greenhouse work is an advantage.
