Adesuyan emerges Chairman of Ondo Online Media Professionals

Mr Joseph Adesuyan has been elected chairman of the Ondo State Online Media Professionals (OMP) after securing victory in a closely contested election held at the weekend.

According to results announced by the Chairman and Secretary of the Electoral Committee, Richard Ilesanmi and Kayode Animasaun, Adesuyan polled 11 votes to defeat his sole challenger, Temitope Adedeji, who garnered three votes.

Other elected officers include Agidi Mary, who was returned unopposed as Treasurer with 13 votes, and Isaac Afolabi, who also scored 13 votes to emerge as Financial Secretary.

The committee noted that the election recorded no void votes, describing the process as transparent and credible.

In his acceptance speech, Adesuyan thanked members of the association for entrusting him with the leadership, promising to serve with dedication, integrity and commitment to the growth of OMP.

He extended a hand of fellowship to his opponent, Temitope Adedeji, urging him to work together with the new executive in building a stronger and more united body of online media practitioners in the state.
