President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to working tirelessly for Nigeria’s peace and stability, declaring that both hard work and prayers will continue to guide his leadership.

Speaking in Abuja on Friday after a special Juma’ah prayer session held in commemoration of his 73rd birthday, the President expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and for the privilege of serving the nation.

Addressing reporters at the National Mosque, President Tinubu emphasised that the safety and welfare of Nigerians remain his top priorities.

He noted that prayers had been offered for the nation’s stability, peace, and the well-being of all citizens, stressing that divine guidance and dedication to duty are essential for progress.

“I feel good. I feel happy. I thank the Almighty Allah, who has protected us and continues to answer our prayers. We have prayed for our country. We prayed for the stability and peace of the nation. We prayed that Almighty Allah will safeguard our people and all citizens,” he said.

Reflecting on the message of the sermon, the President underscored the importance of perseverance, stating that his leadership will continue to be defined by “hard work and hard prayers.”

He urged Nigerians to embrace diligence and faith, believing that with collective effort, the country will overcome its challenges and thrive.

The special prayer session was led by Dr Abdulkadir Salman Solagberu, the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate, along with other prominent clerics.

Dr Solagberu assured the President of continued prayers for his strength, wisdom, and good health to enable him to steer the nation toward prosperity.

He also emphasised that sustained prayers for national peace and stability are crucial for the well-being of citizens.

The Imam of the National Mosque, Professor Muhammad Kabir Adam, commended President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for their charitable acts during Ramadan.

He encouraged Muslims to maintain a spirit of generosity and to keep praying for the President and the nation even after the holy month.

“Mr. President, Allah is with you, and you will succeed,” the Imam said.

The prayer session was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, ministers, service chiefs, and some members of the President’s family.
