Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has reassured community leaders that his administration doesn’t tamper with local government funds, allowing traditional rulers to receive their rightful allocations.
Speaking at the palace of Yangede of Epe in Ondo East Local Government, the governor emphasised his commitment to promoting community development and enhancing agriculture and food security.
The governor’s remarks were made during his campaign tour, where he was praised by traditional rulers and market leaders for restoring their relevance and empowerment at the local government level.

Governor Aiyedatiwa attributed this success to his administration’s non-interference with local government allocations, ensuring traditional rulers receive their entitlements and correcting past errors.
To further support the community, the governor promised to fix the five-kilometer township road and expressed his willingness to listen to the people’s concerns.
The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oládiji, assured the governor of the people’s full support.
Additionally, the Yangede of Epe, Oba Isaac Oyebade, requested that the state government upgrade the stool of Yangede to a first-class chieftaincy stool, highlighting Epe’s historical significance as an ancient town.
During a town hall meeting in Bolorunduro, community leaders, including Chief Felix Kolawole and Chief Mrs. Nike Awosupin, expressed their support for the governor, acknowledging his achievements and seeking his assistance in fixing dilapidated roads to facilitate the transportation of goods to markets.
Governor Aiyedatiwa’s campaign tour will continue next Tuesday, demonstrating his commitment to engaging with the community and addressing their concerns.
