A devastating road accident on Thursday evening in Ore, located in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, claimed the lives of five people and left several others injured.
The crash occurred on the busy Ore bridge and involved a collision between a truck and a police vehicle.
According to eyewitness accounts, the tragedy unfolded when the truck driver lost control while descending the bridge, crashing into the police vehicle and fatally striking the victims inside.
One witness described the incident, stating, “The truck lost control while descending the Ore bridge, rammed into the police vehicle, and killed the victims inside their own vehicle.”
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident via a phone conversation, promising to release further details as investigations continue.
