The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, outlining key dates for the sale of forms, screening of aspirants, primaries, and appeals.

The timetable, signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, indicates that the process officially commenced with the issuance of a notice of election to state chapters on April 20, 2026.

According to the schedule, the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will take place at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while the deadline for submission of completed forms is fixed for May 4, 2026.

The party will conduct screening of aspirants for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, and governorship positions between May 6 and May 8, 2026, while presidential aspirants will be screened on May 9, 2026.

Publication of screening results is scheduled for May 11, 2026, with appeals slated for May 12 and 13, 2026.

The timetable further shows that primary elections for the various offices will begin on May 15, 2026, starting with the House of Representatives.

Senate primaries will hold on May 18, followed by State House of Assembly on May 20, governorship on May 21, and the presidential primary on May 23, 2026.

Appeals arising from the primaries will be handled between May 18 and May 25, depending on the category of election.

The APC also detailed the cost of nomination forms for aspirants.

Those seeking seats in State Houses of Assembly are to pay a total of N6 million, while House of Representatives aspirants will pay N10 million.

Senate forms are pegged at N20 million, governorship at N50 million, and presidential forms at N100 million.

However, the party stated that female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities are required to pay only for the expression of interest forms, with a 50 per cent discount on nomination fees.

The release of the timetable signals the formal commencement of the APC’s internal processes ahead of the 2027 general elections, as political activities begin to intensify across the country.
