They were arrested at Sabo Sango along Ado Road and Ilado Community respectively in connection with an ongoing investigation into a kidnapping case within the state.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects are members of a kidnapping syndicate operating in Ondo State.

The police alleged that the duo used their motorcycles for reconnaissance missions, gathering intelligence on prospective targets and providing logistical support to other members of the criminal network, including the supply of food and operational accessories.

The operational motorcycles and other relevant tools said to have been used in facilitating the criminal activities were recovered during the operation.

The Command noted that the suspects have had their statements recorded and are currently assisting investigators with useful information, while efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest other members of the syndicate.

The Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, reassured residents that the Command remains resolute and will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that criminal elements are identified, apprehended and brought to justice.

Members of the public were urged to remain vigilant and continue to provide timely, credible and actionable information to security agencies to strengthen ongoing security operations throughout Ondo State.
