The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, describing the period as one of deep spiritual significance and national value.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, said the Eid-el-Fitr celebration marks a moment of joy and reflection for the Muslim faithful after weeks of devotion, sacrifice and self-discipline.
Babatunde noted that the virtues demonstrated during the fasting period, including restraint, generosity and prayers for the nation, remain invaluable contributions to Nigeria’s unity and progress.
He commended the Muslim Ummah for their steadfastness and commitment, observing that their prayers for peace, stability and national development could not be overemphasised, particularly at a time the country faces socio-economic and security challenges.
The APC chairman also acknowledged what he described as the consistent support of the Muslim community for the ruling party in Ondo State, urging them to sustain their loyalty and mobilise support ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
While calling for continued prayers for leaders at all levels, Babatunde assured the Muslim faithful of inclusive governance and sustained engagement, noting that the government remains committed to catering to the interests of all groups in the state.
“Continuous prayers for peace, development of our land, and the security of Nigeria are very essential,” he said.
The ruling party, therefore, extended its best wishes to Muslims in Ondo State and across the country, urging them to celebrate the festival in peace, unity and moderation.
