The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has felicitated with Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid el-Kabir celebration, describing the festival as a symbol of faith, sacrifice, obedience and devotion to Almighty Allah.

Yilwatda also called on Nigerians, particularly the Muslim Ummah, to continue supporting the ongoing reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, saying the policies are aimed at repositioning the country for sustainable growth and long-term prosperity.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, the APC National Chairman said Eid el-Kabir remains one of the most significant celebrations in Islam, embodying the virtues of selflessness, compassion, tolerance, unity and total submission to the will of God, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.

He noted that the lessons of the festival are particularly relevant at a time when Nigeria requires sacrifice, patience, perseverance and collective responsibility to overcome its socio-economic challenges and build a stronger nation.

According to him, Nigerians must continue to promote peaceful coexistence, national unity and harmony across ethnic, political and religious divides.

“The spiritual lessons of Eid el-Kabir are highly relevant to Nigeria at this critical stage of national development. Sacrifice, patience, perseverance and collective responsibility remain essential ingredients for building a stronger, united and prosperous nation,” he stated.

Yilwatda urged citizens to use the Sallah celebration to strengthen bonds of love, understanding and brotherhood, while also praying for the peace, unity, security and progress of the country.

He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria would emerge stronger, economically competitive and more resilient among the comity of nations.

The APC chairman acknowledged that the ongoing economic reforms may require patience and shared sacrifice but insisted that they are necessary steps toward restoring economic stability, strengthening institutions and securing a better future for generations to come.

He further prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the sacrifices, prayers and acts of worship of Muslim faithful, while wishing Nigerians a peaceful, prosperous and memorable Eid el-Kabir celebration.
