Gov Aiyedatiwa pays condolence visit to Deji, Akure community over loss of SSG

Ondo State Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Monday paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, following the passing of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi.

Oluwatuyi, fondly called Tuykana, passed away on Saturday, leaving the Akure community in deep mourning.

A prominent indigene of Akure, his demise has been described as a significant loss to the state and its people.

Leading members of the State Executive Council to the Deji’s palace, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his profound sadness over the loss.

He described the late Oluwatuyi as a “jolly good fellow,” a grassroots mobiliser, and a trusted ally who was deeply loved and respected by many.

The Governor praised his contributions to Ondo State’s political and social landscape, emphasising that his absence would be deeply felt.

Governor Aiyedatiwa extended his prayers to the Akure community, asking for divine strength to endure this tragic loss.

In his response, Oba Aladelusi referred to Oluwatuyi’s passing as a devastating blow to the Akure community.

“We have lost one of our finest and a big fish in Akure,” the Deji remarked, highlighting the late SSG’s importance to the kingdom.

The monarch expressed gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for his unwavering support for the Akure community, pledging that prayers would be intensified to guide the town through this challenging time.

The visit concluded with special prayers led by the Asae of Akure Kingdom, Senior High Chief Sola Adegbonmire.

These prayers were offered for the late Oluwatuyi’s family, the Akure community, and the entire state, seeking peace and strength in the wake of this irreplaceable loss.
