The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has felicitated with two esteemed traditional rulers, the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbedegesin Ogunoye III, and the Olukare of Ikare Akoko, Oba Akadri Saliu Momoh, CFR, CON, on the anniversaries of their coronations.
In a congratulatory message to the Olowo of Owo on the occasion of his 5th coronation anniversary, Governor Aiyedatiwa lauded Oba Ogunoye for his exceptional leadership, commitment to progress, and the promotion of peace within Owo.
“Kabiyesi, it feels like yesterday when you were called upon to lead a people united by a shared history, culture, and tradition. Your reign has been marked by rare leadership acumen and an unwavering dedication to fostering harmony and development,” the Governor remarked.
He also expressed gratitude for the Olowo’s steadfast support for the Ondo State Government, noting his role as a significant stakeholder in advancing the state’s collective goals.
“Your wisdom and firm stance in support of truth and progress have been invaluable,” Aiyedatiwa said, praying for a prosperous reign filled with divine blessings for the Owo Kingdom.
Similarly, Governor Aiyedatiwa celebrated the Olukare of Ikare Akoko on his 40th coronation anniversary, recognising his remarkable achievements as one of the longest-serving traditional rulers in the state.
“Forty years on the throne is a testament to your resilience, grace, and dedication. Your reign has enriched the traditional institution, and your leadership has significantly contributed to the growth of Ikare Akoko, a vital commercial hub in our state,” the Governor stated.
The Governor commended Oba Momoh for his patience, tenacity, and steadfast commitment to the well-being of his people and prayed for continued progress and peace in Ikare Akoko under his reign.
On behalf of the people and government of Ondo State, Governor Aiyedatiwa extended warm wishes to both monarchs, reaffirming their roles as custodians of tradition, promoters of unity, and contributors to the state’s development.
