In Ondo West, the electoral process also witnessed a robust turnout. At polling unit 020, located in front of MONA Clinic, former Governor Olusegun Mimiko joined other voters to cast his ballot.

INEC staff were present and effectively managing the process, ensuring voters could exercise their rights without hitches.

Mimiko’s younger brother who is the candidate of Zenith Labour Party, Dr Abbas Mimiko, also voted at the unit.

Speaking to reporters, he made a heartfelt appeal to the government for support for people with disabilities, recounting how an accident had changed his life.

The atmosphere at the polling unit was generally positive, with voters expressing satisfaction with the conduct of the election.

INEC officials were commended for their prompt arrival and efficiency, and the security presence helped maintain order.

The high voter turnout and peaceful conduct in Ondo West reflected the electorate’s commitment to democracy.

However, Akinyele’s appeal for inclusivity underscored the need for continuous government intervention to support vulnerable groups, ensuring their active participation in the democratic process.
