Akure South: APC emerges victorious at Unit 004

In Unit 004, Ward 7, Odopetu, Akure South Local Government Area, the sorting and counting of votes were well underway by 2:46 p.m.

The process, conducted in an orderly manner, concluded without any reports of irregularities or incidents.

At the end of the counting, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious with 73 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured 19 votes, and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) garnered 2 votes.

The INEC presiding officer, Asekere Oluwatosin, confirmed that there were no void votes, reflecting the voters’ clarity and understanding of the voting process.

Oluwatosin officially declared the APC candidate the winner of the polling unit.
