Former President Olusegun Obasanjo visited Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, at the Government House in Akure on Monday, wishing him victory in the upcoming governorship election.
Obasanjo shared his past campaign experiences, recalling his 1999 election campaign across the South West states.
“I understand the challenges of this period for you… I wish you all the best,” he said.
Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked Obasanjo for his visit and contributions to Nigeria’s development.
He praised Obasanjo’s humility and humane leadership, despite his high profile and military background.
Obasanjo was in Akure for the commissioning of the Ojaja Park, an estate developed by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
