The Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Omoyele Isaac Adekunle, has assured residents of the agency’s readiness to ensure peace and security during the yuletide season.
He said, to achieve this, tactical squads and personnel have been deployed to identified black spots across the state.
Dr. Adekunle warned individuals with criminal intentions to reconsider or face the full weight of the law.
He emphasized the Corps’ commitment to maintaining law and order, particularly during the festive period.
Dr. Omoyele highlighted proactive measures, including effective surveillance and patrol, and urged community members to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
He reassured the public that the Amotekun Corps is well-prepared to handle challenges.
The Corps Commander called for collaboration between Amotekun and the community, emphasizing public cooperation in fostering a secure atmosphere.
He expressed confidence that joint efforts will ensure a peaceful yuletide season.
Adekunle appealed to residents to be security conscious, report strange faces, and participate in community safety initiatives.
He disclosed that intensive patrols have begun and will continue before, during, and after Christmas and New Year celebrations.
