Guber election: Aiyedatiwa visits Irele, promises non interference in selection of Obas

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has assured the people of Irele community that he won’t interfere in the selection of their traditional rulers, known as Obas.

He made this promise during his campaign tour at the Irele Multipurpose Hall and Civic Centre, where he also highlighted his administration’s priorities, including security of lives and property.

Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasised that security is crucial for good governance and development, and he’s committed to running an inclusive government.

He also announced that his administration has started constructing the 28km Iyansan-Ajagba-Akotogbo-Iju Osun road, a project that will boost economic growth in the area.

Community leaders praised the governor for his achievements, particularly in paying workers’ salaries promptly and supporting traditional rulers.

Chief Adeniyi Samson encouraged residents to vote for Governor Aiyedatiwa on November 16, while Oba Olorunsola Akinyelure thanked him for empowering monarchs in Irele local government.

In recognition of his efforts, Governor Aiyedatiwa was hhonoured with the chieftaincy title of Jagunmolu of Iyansan by Oba Akinyomi Olasehinde.

The community declared their total support for his election, with Remi Olatubora, SAN, promising a significant margin of victory.
