Guber election: Aiyedatiwa promises dualisation of Akungba road, construction of overhead bridge

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has pledged to dualise the major road at Akungba Akoko in Ondo State and construct an overhead bridge for pedestrians to reduce accidents.

This promise was made on Monday, during his interaction with market women and youths after attending his senatorial campaign rally at Ikare Akoko.

He disclosed that the dualisation project will start from Ikare Akoko and run through the frontage of Adekunle Ajasin University.

Governor Aiyedatiwa eemphasised that his administration has considered various options before settling on this plan and stressed that the barricades on the road will not be removed.

He also highlighted his administration’s achievements, including paying salaries on time, recruiting teachers, and investing in infrastructure, security, health, agriculture, and education.

Also speaking, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami echoed the importance of continuity in governance, urging citizens to vote for the APC in the November 16 governorship election to safeguard the state’s progress.

The State Chairman of the All Progressives  Congress, APC, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, and Hon. Abiola Makinde, Director-General of the party’s Governorship Campaign Council, also praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and commitment to development.

Earlier, Governor Aiyedatiwa inaugurated two projects: a science laboratory at Community Comprehensive High School and a bBasic Health Center constructed by Okusa Community, both facilitated by the Ondo State CARES initiative.

The senatorial district campaign is set to conclude on Wednesday in Ondo south.
