Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has appointed Mr. Kayode Fasua as the new Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of Owena Press Ltd, publishers of The Hope titles, effective immediately.
Mr. Fasua brings 29 years of journalism experience to his new role.
His career began in 1996 as a reporter at The Hope Newspaper in Akure, and he went on to work with prominent media organisations such as The Punch, National Mirror, National Life, The Sun, and Tell Magazine.
Notably, the seasoned journalist served as Special Assistant on Media to late former Governor Adebayo Adefarati from 2002 to 2003.
Governor Aiyedatiwa urged Mr. Fasua to leverage his expertise to revamp Owena Press Ltd for optimal performance.
The Governor also extended his gratitude to the outgoing Managing Director, Sir Ademola Adetula, for his contributions to the company’s growth.
Fasua’s appointment is part of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s efforts to strengthen his administration’s media presence, following recent appointments of new Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.
Mr. Ebenezer Adeniyan, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, announced the appointment today, October 3rd, 2024.
With Mr. Fasua at the helm, Owena Press Ltd is poised for revitalization and enhanced performance under his experienced leadership.
