In a show of unity and support, members of the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus in the House of Representatives have pledged to mobilize grassroots support and votes for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in the upcoming November 16 gubernatorial election in the state.
The eight members of the caucus, represented by four lawmakers, made the declaration during a courtesy visit to the Governor at the Presidential Lodge of the Government House in Akure, on Monday.
They are Hon. Timehin Adelegbe (Owo/Ose), Hon. Gboyega Adefarati (Akoko South West/Akoko South East), Hon. Festus Adefiranye (Ile-oluji-Okeigbo/Odigbo) and Hon. Jimi Odimayo (Okitipupa/Irele).
The other four members, Hon. Donald Ojogo (Ilaje/Ese-Odo), Hon. Abiola Makinde (Ondo East/Ondo West), Hon. Derin Adesida (Akure South/Akure North) and Hon. Ife Ehindero (Akoko North West/Akoko North East), who were absent, sent their words of support to the Governor.
They expressed their commitment to putting aside past differences and uniting behind Governor Aiyedatiwa to ensure a landslide victory.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Hon. Timehin Adelegbe commended the Governor’s leadership in maintaining peace in the state and engaging stakeholders.
He assured that the caucus members would work collectively to achieve victory for the APC.
Ondo State APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin welcomed the declaration of support, stating that it promotes unity and strengthens the party ahead of the election.
Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the lawmakers’ loyalty and support, emphasizing that the election is a collective effort to ensure the party’s victory.
The meeting demonstrates a united front among Ondo State APC leaders ahead of the gubernatorial election, with a focus on grassroots mobilization and collective effort to secure victory for Governor Aiyedatiwa and the APC.
