Ondo, China strengthen ties as Linyi City eyes investments in technology, agriculture, construction

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reiterated his administration’s commitment to enhancing relations with China to boost the state’s economy.

This came as the Deputy Mayor of Linyi Municipal People’s Government, Sun Deshi, and his team visited the governor’s office in Akure, on Monday.

Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted the mutual benefits for Nigeria and China, noting Ondo State’s rich natural and human resources.

He advocated for increased business idea exchange in technology, education, and agriculture to overcome current challenges.

The Governor affirmed the continuity of the Ondo-Linyi Industry Park in Ore, established under a previous agreement.

He promised maximum government support, stressing that his administration is making the state more attractive and conducive for investors.

Deputy Mayor Sun Deshi expressed China’s interest in expanding established companies, leveraging their expertise in technology, agriculture, and construction.

Consul-General Yan Yuqing praised the Ondo State Government for the Linyi Industrial Hub and promised to expedite more business opportunities.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami; Chief of Staff, Prince Segun Omojuwa; Commissioner for Information, Hon. Wale Akinlosotu; and Chief Alex Ajipe, among others.

This development is expected to strengthen economic ties between Ondo State and China, fostering growth and development in both regions.
