Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has warned the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to stop spreading lies and misinformation about his administration’s performance.

The Governor’s administration has made significant progress in various sectors, driving the state’s economy forward.

The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Hon. Oluomo Alimi, stated that the government is appalled by the APC’s recent press statement criticizing the Adeleke-led administration’s 2024 budget performance.

Alimi said the government views the report as propaganda aimed at whipping up unnecessary sentiment and painting the administration black.

The Commissioner explained that the APC’s analysis was based on ignorance and mischief, as they failed to consider the proper budget performance calculation.

He provided examples of various sectors, such as Education, Works, and Environment, where the government has achieved significant progress, exceeding pro-rata expectations.

The government urged the APC to stop political shenanigans and mischief, as the citizens of Osun State have been applauding the administration’s giant strides in development.

“The overall performance of the budget for the first quarter of 2024 stands at 70.4%, which is quite good, targeting a minimum of 85% for the entire year,” he stated.
