Osun APC passes vote of confidence in Oyetola

From John Dike, Osogbo

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered at their secretariat in Osogbo on Tuesday for an extended executive meeting. The outcome of the meeting was a vote of confidence in the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alh. Gboyega Oyetola, for his significant contributions to President Tinubu’s administration.

State party chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, read a communique that highlighted the party’s trust in President Tinubu’s leadership and his ability to navigate the current economic challenges.

The communique also addressed various issues, including the upcoming electronic party membership registration, warning against unauthorized registration exercises, and encouraging disenchanted members to reintegrate into the party.

The meeting directed party organs to continue regular meetings and accommodate new defectors, as the party experiences a surge in defections.

Additionally, the meeting appealed to labor unions (NLC and TUC) for peaceful resolution of the current industrial disputes over minimum wage.

The party leadership commended the efficient management of the party under Chairman Alhaji Tajudeen Lawal and acknowledged the loyalty and commitment of party members across the state, particularly during this challenging period as an opposition party.

The meeting’s resolutions and commendations demonstrated the party’s unity and support for the President’s administration.
