2024 election: Aiyedatiwa visits Igbara-Oke, solicits people’s support

Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries scheduled for April 20, Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Friday visited Igbara-Oke, in Ifedore local government, signaling the beginning of his meet the people tour of the state.

During the first day of the tour expected to take him and his supporters to the 18 local government areas of the state, Aiyedatiwa paid homage to the palace of the Olowa of Igbara-Oke, Oba Francis Agbede, where he was personally received by the monarch, supported by the Onibuji of Ibuji, oba Folagbade Ojo and other traditional rulers in the area local government area.

The governor, in his short address at the palace, said since his assumption of office, his administration has done a lot to sustain peace throughout the nooks and crannies of the state, and ordered contractors back to site.

He also mentioned his efforts at constructing new roads with the ongoing rural road leading farms to towns, to boast agriculture.

Responding, the Olowa of Igbara-Oke, Oba Agbede commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his transformation programmes, describing him as a preforming governor.

Oba Agbede described governor Aiyedatiwa as a grassroots politician who has all it takes to govern the state beyond 2025.

Also while addressing party members and supporters at the venue of their meeting in Igbara-Oke, Governor Aiyedatiwa urged them to support his ambition towards all round development of the state.

Aiyedatiwa also announced that he had paid the annual due of one hundred and ten thousand members ahead of upcoming governorship primaries.
