A veteran broadcaster in Ondo State, Deacon Olalekan Olanrewaju is dead.
Olanrewaju passed on Saturday, August 19, in Akure, the state capital.
News of his death was confirmed to newsmen by the immediate past chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Ondo State, Rev’d John Ayo Oladapo.
According to Oladapo: “Yes, it’s been officially announced, Deacon Olanrewaju is gone”
The late Olanrewaju was the pioneer producer and anchor of the popular alternative dispute resolution programme “IJOKO OJOGBON” and a Yoruba quiz programme “OGBON ORI” on Ondo State owned media organisation, OSRC from where he got his appellation, “OLORI EBI”
The programme gave late Olanrewaju so much fame in Ondo State and beyond and he was simply addressed as “OLORI EBI” wherever he went.
