Ondo state chapter of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has demanded details of the whereabouts of the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who has not been physically present in most state functions in recent times.
The party accused the All Progressives Congress (APC), which brought Akeredolu to power, of playing politics with the happenings around the governor and as well, his media aides for being too economical with the truth on his state of health.
According to the state chairman of the SDP, Mr Stephen Adewale, the governor’s aides or the Commissioner for Information and Orientation ought to have addressed citizens of the state on the state of health of Mr Governor, since he is the father of all.
It would be recalled that an online platform published a story recently, alleging that the governor is being abandoned at his residence in Ibadan by his son and the wife, while bedridden.
The party therefore challenge his aides and the cabinet members to allow the governor address the people and as well, show his face in the public if what the online platform published is nothing to be taken seriously.
Adewale, however, noted that the party has joined other well meaning Nigerians praying morning and night for the governor, for quick recovery.
