Missing Okada rider found dead in Osun

An Okada rider identified as Aina Ezekiel Oluwasegun, who was earlier declared missing has been found dead.

The young man was reported missing last Friday, May 12, 2023 in Owode Ede, Ede North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Osun state.

According to one of his colleagues, Oluwasegun was hired by a passenger on Friday evening to an unknown destination and never returned.

After days of searching, the lifeless body of Oluwasegun was found on Saturday, May 20, 2023, inside an uncompleted building located at Oke-Ayo area, Owode Ede.

Our correspondent gathered that he was found with bruises and wound on his head.

The perpetrators of the murder were said to have absconded with the motorbike he has been using for his Okada business.

Confirming the incident, the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, said decomposing body of Oluwasegun was discovered on Saturday and was evacuated by the police.

Opalola hinted that the police have commenced investigation to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance and death of the deceased.

“The decomposing body was discovered on Saturday and it was immediately evacuated by the police.

“We have commenced investigation to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance and death of the deceased,” Opalola said.

Oluwasegun went missing on May 12 and was not seen till his decomposing body was discovered inside an uncompleted building in Oke Ayo Area, Owode-Ede, by some residents who perceived foul smell.

Efforts were made to look for him when he went missing by his colleagues but none yielded until his corpse was discovered.
